SpringForth Services
We offer a comprehensive range of services to support your mental health and wellness, including:
Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation
A psychiatric diagnostic evaluation is often referred to as a “psych eval” and is required for all initial visits. This is a detailed assessment to understand your background, medical history, and any past mental health experiences. This appointment usually lasts about 60-90 minutes. It helps us form a preliminary diagnosis and create a personalized treatment plan that suits your needs.
During the evaluation, we may suggest medication, therapy, or both. We might also request lab tests, ask for permission to communicate with any other healthcare providers you’re seeing, or refer you to a different specialist or treatment program if needed. If you were recently in the hospital, it is helpful to bring any discharge papers and an updated list of all medications to your first appointment.
Psychopharmacotherapy (Medication Management)
Psychopharmacotherapy, or medication management, is when medications are used to treat and manage mental health conditions. Medication is not always needed to achieve mental wellness, but when symptoms are severe, it can help stabilize and improve an individual’s well-being. When medication is recommended, research suggests that combining medication with therapy often provides the best outcomes.
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy, also referred to as “talk therapy,” is a treatment approach that helps individuals identify and address concerns that negatively affect their mental, emotional, relational, or physical well-being. It offers a safe space to explore feelings, identify unhealthy behavioral patterns, and learn effective coping skills. At SpringForth, we use different therapy methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, to support clients on their path to healing.
Psychoeducation
Psychoeducation is a key part of every visit. It involves sharing important information about mental health conditions, symptoms, treatment options, medications, potential side effects, and available resources. This process helps clients and their families better understand mental health and empowers them to make informed decisions about their care.
